"The Grosvenor Court Hotel was a seven-story Victorian building that stood on the corner of Davies Street and Oxford Street, built around 1900. It was demolished in the 1970s and is now the site of the West One shopping center. 1677: The Grosvenor family's connection to London property began when Sir Thomas Grosvenor married Mary Davies, who inherited the Manor of Ebury. The Grosvenor Estate, which includes this part of Mayfair, was developed over the following centuries. Circa 1900: The seven-story Grosvenor Court Hotel was constructed at the junction of Davies Street and Oxford Street, facing the tube station. 1970s: The hotel was demolished as part of a redevelopment project for the site."
