Because it is so rare I bought this 8 track RECORDER from a previous owner.
It was missing the battery cover (still does), the antenna was damaged and I had to replace it with a generic one.
I had to clean and lube everything and replace the belt and the antenna.
It still has some scratches and scuffs since this unit was apparently manufactured in 1976.
It has a great sound and has a SPACER setting which gives the sensation you are listening in a large room with speakers far apart.
Now everything works very well on this vintage piece.
The radio with AM and FM with and without AFC.
The 8 track does PLAY, RECORD, FFWD, AUTO-STOP and CHANGE TRACK.
It is very sturdy, weighs approx.9.5lb without batteries and has a cool angled orientation of the cassette.
I include in this listing the AC cable and 2 tapes.
