Beautiful and ladylike suit from a bygone era is constructed of gold and lavender floral brocade. It’s fully lined and well-made and appears to have the original fancy gold buttons. The jacket is removable (but it is not meant to be worn standalone).
There is a size tag marked 16, but that may not match today’s sizing. It’s shown on a size 14 mannequin. The top of the undershirt fits the mannequin tightly, but there is a little room for more tummy, hip and waist.
It is in excellent vintage condition with the only discernable flaw that I could find being a small hole in the bodice (see photo). Zipper works. It is clean, but has a storage smell. Not musty, but like it’s been in storage for a long time and needs proper cleaning to refresh.
